One thing that I am personally proud of will be bestowing small gifts of appreciation to four friends two of which I met this year and two of which have been amazing friends of the arts in AC for more than 20 years!

Steven Young and his people of The Polaris Group have revitalized the Kentucky Ave Renaissance.

For more than 25 years Young has  been a champion for AC and for the past 7 years Young has headed AC's Premiere Street Festival!

Connie is not only an award winning playwright. Ms. Drummond has invested her time and money into a vision that is giving artists an amazing space to create from the stage to the walls The Artzcape Gallery and Stage is Drummond's gift to area artists!

MAME YOUNG

Let me start by saying...why New York let Mame Young leave is amazing.
With more than 15 years experience as a collector and gallery owner, Ms. Young's La Belle Art Gallery in Haddonfield is a gem that adds value to the whole down town area.
Each painting in her gallery tells stories of love, peace and victory.

The legacy of Chicken Bone Beach is as important to AC as The Apollo is to Harlem!

Shelton has started an organization that makes sure that the legacy LIVES, BREATHES and PLAYS ON. Thanks to Ms. Shelton the music of Chicken Bone Beach can be heard today in AC...12 months out of the year. Thanks for not allowing Chicken Bone Beach to just be a collection of old newspapers and "I remember when."
