Remembering Kalief Browder

It was a year ago today that Kalief Browder ...decided to take his own life.

Here's the quick list of what lead to the end of his short life.

*As a highschool sophomore he was stopped by NYPD police. Accused of stealing a pack back and taken to Rikers Island.

* Although Browder maintained his innocence until his death. Browder a teen at the time. Was charged as an adult and held at Rikers for three years with out a trial.

* Much of his time was spent in solitary.

* A judge offered to release Browder, if he confessed. Browder maintained his innocence.

* Months after refusing to confess, Browder had all charges against him dropped by the city of New York.
